Boardman Suspect Will Face Federal Drug Charges
Due to the severity of the case, Morrow County Prosecutors have turned over a drug case to Federal authorities.
According to sources, Morrow County officials are relieved that the Feds have agreed to take the case against Jeremy Michael Carroll of Boardman. After a nearly year long investigation and undercover operation by the Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics team, he was arrested in August.
The U.S. Attorney's office will be taking over and Carroll will face Federal charges. Morrow County officials say Oregon has continually reduced sentences and sanctions for drug dealers and manufacturers, and having him tried by the Feds will greatly increase the penalty capabilities.
Carroll was also in trouble already for being a felon in possession of firearms as well as explosives.
