Body Found in Grant County Lake is Missing Othello Man

No word if foul play involved, especially pending the autopsy, but Grant County officials say the body found in Canal Lake is that of a missing man from Othello.

Sheriff Tom Jones said this week Arthur Valentino Madrigal was reported missing by a friend August 3 from nearby Heart Lake. These are part of a series of small lakes south Potholes Reservoir south of Warden. No details were given about the nature of his disappearance, but officials have confirmed his identity.

Officials say he had gone to Heart Lake with a 20-year-old woman, who then reported him missing to authorities.

No word on how he may have gotten from Heart to Canal Lake. The investigation continues.
