Boxer Bops Would Be Intruder Trying to Force Entry into Home
Late Wednesday night Richland Police responded to a rather unusual call, where the boxing skills of a homeowner kept an intruder at bay.
A 55-year-old man whose name was not released, is in the Benton County jail facing a variety of charges including DUI, after he allegedly drove his car up onto the lawn of a home, then tried to forcibly enter.
When Police arrived at the home in the 400 block of Abbot St.around 11PM, they found the homeowner had prevented the man from getting in. Police described the man as a former "pugilist" (Boxer) and he "dropped" the male on the front porch, denying him entry.
Police say the intruder was intoxicated, no backround information released as to what prompted the incident.
