BREAKING NEWS: Richland City Hall Evacuated Due To Gas Leak
Breaking News: Richland City Hall has been evacuated due to a gas leak. The intersection of Jadwin and Swift (upon which the new City Hall sits) has also been closed by police as a precaution.
The new City Hall just opened this week. Hopefully the problem will be easy to fix.
The city has high hopes for the neighborhood. Health services continue to flock to the area to be close to Kadlec and surrounding clinics. Columbia Basin College operates a nursing school on an adjacent block and has plans to build additional classroom buildings over the next 20 years. A renovation of the existing CBC campus south of the library is also planned. The City Annex buildings erected in the 1940s and 1950s have demolition dates as the offices move into the new, larger city hall.
