Car Prowl Leads to Arrest of Pasco Hit-And-Run Driver
A car prowl has helped lead to the arrest of a dangerous driver.
Hit-And-Run Driver nabbed after theft
Josue Sepulveda-Zuniga of Pasco was ID'd as the driver who lurched up onto the sidewalk Friday morning in front of Ochoa Middle School and hit a 14-year-old teen around 7:17 AM.
The child was not seriously hurt but was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
24-year-old man was identified inside the vehicle
Police were able to quickly canvass the area in East Pasco and located the blue HHR Zuniga was driving in part because witnesses called 9-1-1 to report a man was car prowling in their neighborhood and he'd left the Chevy nearby!
He apparently had left his ID inside. Pasco Police said this about the situation:
"We linked him to the hit and run. He is in the Franklin County Jail for Vehicular Assault, Felony Hit and Run, Driving with license suspended and the vehicle prowl. Thank you FB fans for all the tips and videos sent to us of this suspect. Team work makes the dream work!"
Zuniga is now facing a lot of time for these crimes.
