Kennewick police apprehended one of two car prowl suspects Thursday night, in part because the suspect didn't see the retaining wall in front of him.

Around 7:30 pm police responded to a report of two suspects trying to break into a house in the 600 Block of South Vancouver Street.

A witness called police after he observed them enter the property at 600 South Vancouver, then they began scratching the paint and slashed one of the tires of a 2002 Honda parked in front of the residence.

The witness confronted the two men, who began running. But one of them, 21-year-old  Giovani Eufracio of Kennewick, tripped on a small retaining wall as he was fleeing and hit his head on the concrete.

The witness held the dazed man down until officers could arrive. Eufracio was taken to Trios Health Emergency Room, treated then arrested on charges of felony malicious mischief.

Police are still looking for the other suspect.
