Thanks to the chasing efforts of a citizen, Kennewick Police were able to capture a home robbery suspect.

Thursday afternoon, Officers were flagged down in the 1400 block of West 4th Ave. The citizen told them a woman had been robbed in her home.

They said the suspect had entered her fenced backyard, forced way into home and stolen her keys. He then fled on foot.

The citizen chased-followed the suspect and Police were able to figure out the area where he was headed. While other Officers quickly determined probable cause by talking to the victim, the suspect was located in a stairwell in the 200 block of South Quincy Street.

He was apprehended without incident and was taken to the Benton County jail. The suspect's ID was not released.
