Gallagher, the watermelon smashing, big grinning comedian, is slowly being brought out of a medically induced coma following a heart attack.

Gallagher, who got his stage name years ago by removing his first and middle names of Leo Anthony, suffered a heart attack just after a meet and greet prior to a show in a Texas bar Wednesday.  He had two stints placed in his heart.  Gallagher had suffered a similar episode last march in Minnesota.  No details of prognosis or other information was officially given by medical officials.  Gallagher, who came to fame for smashing watermelons and other foods as part of his act, is still touring and entertaining at age 65.  Crowds in the front rows at his shows often came armed with plastic sheeting, and his studio signs often flashed "applesauce" instead of applause.
