Pasco Police now say a suspect is in custody stemming from a Thursday drive-by shooting (August 5) that left multiple bullet holes in a home and vehicles.

25-year-old Cristian Muñoz-Valdez was taken into custody following an investigation that led to a home in Kennewick.

The incident began shortly after 11AM when multiple shots were reported in the alleyway behind some homes in the 1700 block of North 18th in Pasco. 6 shots were fired, five hit a home, and also 2 parked vehicles.

Three of the bullets penetrated the interior but no one was hit. The Pasco Street Crimes unit followed up on a lead about a light-colored sedan seen leaving the area immediately after the shooting, and that led to the temporary standoff in Kennewick.

Flashbangs were used until Valdez surrendered without incident. He was the only occupant there.

Now, Police say they are still looking for other occupants of the vehicle. Valdez was placed on an investigative hold for his role in the incident. It appears that home was specifically targeted after what police said was a "dispute" between some of the participating persons.

They're also looking to locate the suspect vehicle. Anyone with any information is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
