Benton County Sheriff's deputies say alcohol was  a likely factor in a standoff that ended with a man being charged with domestic violence against some roommates.

Saturday evening around 6:30pm, deputies were called to a home in the 21000 block of Finley Road in Finley about a man reportedly pointing a shotgun at people.

Authorities say 44-year-old Daniel James arrived home, began arguing with his rommates, then after leaving the room, returned with a shotgun and pointed it at the other people.

One of the other men grabbed the gun from him, and an hour after deputies showed up, James finally surrendered.  He's facing domestic violence charges against the others living in the home, according to yaktrinews.com.
