Counties in Phase Two and Three See Sports Return –Sort Of

Benton and Franklin Counties have applied for Phase Two of the COVID re open, but many other counties are already there, and some moving to Phase Three.

THOSE counties are now allowed to have some sports teams resume activities. According to the state mandates:

"This memorandum applies to professional sporting activities, both indoor and outdoor, outdoor youth team sports, and outdoor adult recreational team sports. This memorandum does not apply to sporting activities connected to or administered by schools, whether primary, secondary, or post-secondary institutions; or junior hockey."

So the Seahawks and Mariners technically could start doing stuff, beer league softball-baseball, and youth teams. But no NCAA sports formal practices--yet.

And the mention of Junior Hockey would be the WHL basically.
