After a 3 hour standoff Benton County Deputies were able to apprehend a suspect wanted in a beating-Domestic Violence incident.

Wednesday morning, Deputies learned that Antoine Surge had allegedly used a handgun to badly beat another man at a home in Kennewick earlier that morning, just after midnight.

Police were looking for him, then authorities got an anonymous tip that he was at a home in Benton City near Williams and Highlands Streets.  SWAT, Benton County Deputies and others surrounded the home, but he refused to exit, even after officers used flash bangs. The standoff lasted into the evening.

Finally, after getting a search warrant to enter, Surge was located and apprehended without incident. He's now facing felony charges in connection with the assault.  The victim did not sustain life threatening wounds.

Surge was turned over to Kennewick police because the assault occurred within city limits.
