The National Weather Service has issued a RED flag warning for Tri-Cities and surrounding areas today because of extreme heat, low humidity and wind.

This means the risk of sparking a fire is very high. It's not a good day to mow your lawn. Were the blade to chip a rock and throw a spark onto weeds, there is a very real chance of starting a wildfire from noon to 10pm today.
