Driver Loaded Down with Heroin For Sale Slams Into Columbia Park Boulder
Nothing like attracting attention to yourself than by slamming your car into one of those big basalt rocks that line much of Columbia Park Trail along the river.
Wednesday night, Kennewick's CAT (Criminal Apprehension Team) and drug task force police were called to Columbia Park after witnesses said they saw a car hit a boulder.
Upon arrival they found a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Tyler B. Davenport. Evidence at the scene led police to getting a search warrant, and they found packaged heroin, a scale and other items.
Davenport is now in the Benton County jail facing possession and intent to deliver heroin charges. Police didn't say if any of the drugs were the reason he couldn't seem to avoid the large rock.
