It's NEVER OK to drive under the influence of any narcotic, drug or alcohol. But even worse, never find yourself tail gating or hitting a Washington State Patrol car.

Sunday afternoon around six pm, 41-year-old Paul  Bishop was trying to enter I-82 westbound near the Yakima Valley Mall.

He rear-ended a WSP car sitting on the shoulder, totaling both vehicles. Bishop and the unnamed trooper were both transported to Virginia Mason Hospital with injuries, but the extent of them was not revealed, according to Yaktrinews.com.

The WSP says drugs or alcohol were a factor, and charges are pending.
