Drunk Driver ‘Splits’ Trees with Car in Crash, Tree Embedded in Vehicle

Richland police continue to investigate a single car crash Monday night that left a tree embedded in the driver's vehicle.

On Jadwin near Lee Boulevard, the driver apparently lost control and tried to 'split' a pair of trees alongside the street. The end result was one tree underneath the vehicle, and the other one wedged nicely in the wheel well.

The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. No injuries reported.
