When you're driving on a suspended license and wanted for warrants, you might want to avoid hitting parked cars.

Over the weekend, a Kennewick man was booked into the Benton County jail after he allegedly blasted a parked car in the 2300 block of 15th Ave.

Police were called after a citizens report of a crash. Upon arrival they found this torn up Honda, and James Burris. He told officers a fake story about how the car got destroyed, and provided false information about himself. But upon investigation police found a car near 19th and Vancouver that had been struck by a car.

It was Burris's car that did the damage. He is now facing hit and run, driving on suspended and false information charges. He was also wanted on an outstanding felony arrest warrant.
