Washington State Patrol Troopers say a man died in an early morning crash Friday.

Around 6:30AM Troopers responded to the scene, in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 82, a few miles east of Kennewick.

WSP officials say the vehicle left the road and rolled down the embankment finally coming to a stop. They did not say if the vehicle was on it's roof or wheels, or if the man was wearing a seat belt.  They did say at the scene he was found "unresponsive."

It's not known if he was transported to a hospital or pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say it's still under investigation, but it's strongly believed speed and icy roads were largely responsible for the crash.

His identity is being withheld until relatives can be notified.
