The FBI has joined the search for a man thought to be connected with the death of his wife in Oregon, and he is considered armed, dangerous and possibly suicidal. UPDATE- See below.

While conducting a welfare person check on 30-year-old Candelaria Rohan in her Warm Springs, OR home early Thursday morning, Warm Springs Police found her dead, and concluded she had died violently. The area is about 60 miles south of The Dalles, OR.

Warm Springs is a Confederated Indian Tribes reservation in Central Oregon, which is why the FBI has joined in the case. Federal officials handle crimes on reservations.

Authorities say her husband is considered a suspect. Mark Kevin Johnson Jr, 33, is probably driving 1 maroon 1998 Volkswagen Passat, Oregon plate 223DXW.

He was last seen Wednesday afternoon around 2pm at a friends house. Authorities didn't why he was possibly considered suicidal, but said if any witnesses see  him or the vehicle to call 911 immediately, but do not confront or contact him. He is considered armed and dangerous. Officials say he could be headed anywhere, and did not speculate as to where he might be going.

The FBI's Evidence Response Team is on site, investigating the area. Although an autopsy has not yet been performed on Mrs. Rohan, authorities said they do believe she died violently, based upon evidence at the scene. Both Johnson and Rohan are members of the Confederated Tribe of Warm Springs.

UPDATE- Saturday afternoon, Deschutes County Sheriff's were dispatched on a report of a vehicle that had gone off a steep cliff in Deschutes River Canyon near Terrabone, OR, about 30 miles south of Warm Springs. Deputies and FBI investigators found a single dead male occupant in the vehicle, and identified him as Johnson.

The car had gone off a 50 foot sheer cliff, and was found about 100 feet below the road near Lower Bridge Way. Due to the steep terrain, Deschutes County Search and Rescue had to use ropes and pulleys to get the body up the hill. Johnson had been wanted in connection with the violent death of his wife, who's body was found at their home Thursday. The investigation continues, but it is believed Johnson was responsible. It appears he deliberately drove the vehicle off the cliff. Map shows location of vehicle south of Warm Springs.
