Fire That Destroyed Historic Arlington, OR Church Officially Called Arson
A reward is being offered for the fire that essentially destroyed the 1890's era building.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has officially deemed the cause of the fire Tuesday morning as being deliberately set.
The Arlington Church of the Nazarene had already been undergoing some repairs from an earlier fire in July of this year. That fire did not cause extensive or terminal damage to the structure, but did require some fixing.
The blaze that was reported earlier this week resulted in the building being deemed a total loss. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gilliam County, OR Sheriff's office at 541-384-2851. A reward is being offered for information that leads to identification and apprehension of the suspect or suspects.
