Former Tri-Citian and Olympian Hope Solo Arrested for Assault
United States Women's National Team goalie and former Richland citizen, Hope Solo was arrested late last night on charges of domestic violence in Kirkland, Washington.
Hope Solo is current member of the Seattle Reign FC, who released a statement saying, "We are aware of the situation regarding Hope Solo and are currently gathering information. We have no further comments at this time." Solo has made 152 appearances for Team USA, who released a similar statement.
According to the Seattle Times, police were called to the scene because Solo was allegedly hitting people and would not stop. The report says Solo hit her sister and 17-year-old nephew during a family get-together and they both have visible injuries.
