Fuel Truck Slammed by Train at Pasco Railyard
As one observer pointed out, it's a good thing the truck was loaded with diesel fuel, instead of gasoline.
Early Wednesday morning, Pasco police and fire crews responded to an area at the Pasco Railroad yard, on a report of a collision between a freight train and a fuel truck. The truck ended on it's side, but the driver was OK. Other than containing a minor amount of leaking fuel, the scene was cleaned up quickly.
Had the truck been loaded with gasoline, the situation could have been far more dangerous. Police did not say what led to the collision. It helped that the train was moving at a relatively slower speed.
