Pain at the pump...we've seen it in the Mid Columbia, prices like 3.66, 3.72 even higher.  According to the Washington Times/Gas Buddy price tracking website, prices have doubled since Obama was elected in 2008.

Now, Middle East instability has contributed to a 6.8 percent jump in the last month, according to the CPI or Consumer Price Index.  However, critics point out that the Administration has not helped curb price raises and energy instability.  The freeze or moritorium on drilling following the gulf oil crisis, delays  in domestic exploration and  drilling permits have not helped. Nor did Congresswoman Diane Feinstein's proposed bill to permanently ban ALL offshore drilling off the coast of CA, OR and WA--a bill that Washington Senator Maria Cantwell endorsed.   Under this current climb, prices will double again in another year or so.  As the times puts it,  "imagine Mr. Obama going into the 2012 election having to explain why gas costs $7.00 a gallon."
