The La Nina weather pattern is in full effect, but according to the National Weather Service NOAA, that should mean a wetter and colder winter for us. So far, it's been wet alright, but colder? Not so much.

Today you can expect winds in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas to be around 25-35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. The wind advisory starts at 1 p.m. today and lasts until early morning at 4 a.m.

The Christmas Day forecast on at least one forecast website was calling for scattered snow showers for the Tri, but that's been downgraded to rain showers or possibly just mostly cloudy with a high in the low 40's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for snow. Don't hate me.
