Hospital Stay Didn’t Keep Drive-By Suspect From Being Arrested in Toppenish
One of four suspects who is accused of staging a drive-by shooting in Toppenish is in the Yakima County Jail, by way of Harborview Medical Center.
25-year-old Raymond Guerrero-Garcia was one of four people who were in a truck that drove by a home on Old McCoy Road near Toppenish on the night of May 22 and fired a gun in the air. After being pursued by police, Garcia reportedly lost control and wrecked the truck in a ditch, according to yaktrinews.com.
He was chased into a nearby wrecking yard, where he was shot in the shoulder after turning around and pointing a gun at officers.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center, then was released just in time to appear in court Monday morning on 6 charges.
