Police in Pasco now say not only was a stolen car recovered, the suspect arrested, but they also nabbed a felony suspect who tried to hide under a pile of clothing.

Late Sunday night officers arrested 24-year-old  Rian E. Porter of Pasco at the Tahitian Inn on Lewis at 28th Ave. A red Toyota Camry had been reported stolen around 9PM that night in the 2200 block of W. Shoshone, it was noticed missing around 11:15PM.

While one officer was still doing the data entry on the car, another who was on patrol spotted the empty Toyota in the parking lot of the Tahitian. After notifying the staff and workers and checking surveillance footage, officers located Porter in a room and arrested him. During the bust, 27-year-old  Lexis Kapri Rutherford of Kennewick was also taken into custody on an unrelated outstanding felony warrant.

She'd tried to hide on the floor under a pile of clothes, to no avail. The Camry keys were located inside the room, and the car returned to it's owner.
