Illegal Pot Growers Sponge Off Beavers to Grow Stash
Due to nature of the investigation, Franklin County Deputies have not revealed the specific location of the grow.
Monday, authorities destroyed 36 large pot plants that were found illegally planted on private property. The homeowner had not known they were there, due to remoteness of location. Deputies didn't say how they learned about it, or any other specifics.
Deputies had to clean up some hazardous materials found at the scene, related to the growing process. The suspect(s) had run irrigation pipes to a nearby pond created by a beaver dam to water the grow.
All the plants were seized and destroyed. The investigation continues.
