Intruder Surprised on Porch by Homeowner Gets Tasered

A Kennewick homeowner was surprised to find a man hanging around, lurking on his back porch Thursday morning.

Around 7:30am, the man called police to report the suspect. When officers arrived and confronted the suspect, asking why he was there, he fled into some tall grass nearby, trying to hide.

He then ran several blocks, but then ran smack into a pair of officers near 4th. Ave and South Williams. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Simon McCamy, refused to obey commands, became combative, and was Tasered.  He was taken into custody, on 3 counts of trespassing, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest.
