Police chased a 32-year-old man early Sunday morning after he allegedly threatened his girlfriend, then he was captured after slamming into a house.

Around 2:20am, police responded to a call about the woman being assaulted by Michael John Kynaston. He reportedly also threatened her with a knife.  When they arrived at 2609 West 15th Place,  they learned the suspect, who's also a convicted felon, had left.  He was located a couple of blocks away, but drove off when police tried to contact him.

Kynaston led police on a wild chase, that ended with him losing control of his truck, and hitting a house on the corner of 20th and Ranier.    He fled on foot, but a K-9 unit tracked him and he was captured 2313 West 21st. Ave.

He's facing a variety of assault, felony eluding, hit-and-run, and domestic violence charges, as well as DUI.    Fortunately, no one was injured - including the occupants of the home - in the incident.
