Kennewick Car Prowlers Turn Out to Be Teens
Kennewick police say two juveniles have been arrested in connection with car prowls that took place Sunday night at a four-plex at 670 North Arthur Street, right across from Kamiakin High School.
Around 9:45pm officers were dispatched there on a report of two people seen trying to enter cars in the parking lot.
Upon arrival the police found a juvenile boy and girl were quickly identified and arrested, with help from witnesses. One victim who'd already had property taken from their car had it returned after the boy told police where he'd hid it.
Both juveniles will be charged, they were turned over to a responsible party, said police. Kennewick officers remind people (again!) to lock their vehicles, and don't leave anything of value in the car. The juveniles admitted they'd been trying door handles, and the ones that were unlocked were the cars they tried to steal from.
