Kennewick Councilmen Lands in Hot Water Over Facebook Post

The scuttle butt started when Kennewick City council member Bob Parks posted a meme featuring a picture of Bernie Sanders that said: "I went to Yakima Today, Now I know why Trump wants to build a wall"

Many consider this to be a racist post and are calling for Mr. Parks to resign.

Marie Mosley, the Kennewick City Manager says they are working to distance themselves from Parks, releasing a statement saying:

This was Bob Parks as a citizen not Bob Parks as a council member. It was a personal post and the post really does not align with our core values of leading the way.
