Tuesday evening, a brush fire in Kennewick was halted just before hitting some apartment buildings on 10th Ave.

Fire and police crews were called to the area just East of the Heatherstone and Quail Ridge apartements, over a brush fire that was marching towards them.

Police say the fire began at the bottom of the overflow reservoir, located east of the buildings. Crews were able to halt the fire, no damage to any structures reported, or injuries. The circled area in the photo shows where the fire was, with the apartments to the left.

A nice hand for the fire crews for getting it knocked down rapidly!
