South Kennewick Domestic Violence Suspect Assaults Woman, Kicks Teenager
An intoxicated man is in the Benton County Jail following an altercation in south Kennewick.
The Man Showed Up Unannounced
Late Thursday evening, Benton County Deputies were called to a residence on South Gum Street near Elliot Lake about an assault.
Deputies said an estranged male at the residence assaulted a woman, and during the altercation, also kicked a male teen.
When Officers arrived at first, the man resisted arrest but was subdued and taken to the Benton County Jail. He's now facing Domestic Violence Charges.

Deputies and other LE Officers remind people that if they are facing dangerous situations domestically, there is help available in Benton and Franklin Counties, with Domestic Violence Services of Benton and Franklin Counties.
Domestic Violence case data from 2025 in Benton County is still being tabulated, but in 2024, Officials report there were 2,397 documented DV incidents in the county.
