Kennewick police investigating the drive-by shooting from last Friday in the 700 block of South Hawthorne street perhaps now know why the occupants were not cooperating in the search.

Police responded last Friday to reports of a drive-by shooting at 704 S. Hawthorne Street. Initially they found resistance or lack of cooperation from the occupants in the investigation.  Seven suspects have been arrested so far, and police have now found bullets, fragments and other evidence inside the home from the shooting.  They also arrested two occupants of the home. They also found drugs, a large caliber weapon, and gang paraphernalia.  Police say this is the second time this home has been targeted.  They also say the seven people arrested are apparently not talking to investigators.  The search will continue.
