Kennewick Police say it's most likely an isolated incident between two persons, not a general threat to the public, but are intensifying their search for a female suspect(!) who allegedly left a female victim with multiple stab wounds.

Around 9:31PM Thursday night, officers were called to a residence at 5 North Tweedt Place for a report of an assault. They found a 24-year-old female who was suffering from several wounds, and officers applied first aid until paramedics arrived.

Officers said the woman told them the suspect was an acquaintance of hers, but no other connection was revealed by police. The suspect had fled shortly after the assault, apparently just before the victim called 911.  Police continue the investigation, no details about the suspect have been released yet.
