Kennewick Teen in Critical Condition After Being Stuck in Driveway
Kennewick Police are reporting that a 17 year old teen who was playing basketball in his driveway was the victim of a hit and run and is currently in critical condition.
Here is what Kennewick Police Say in their report:
**18-34301 Hit and Run (of a person)**
On September 5, 2018 officers responded to the TRIOS Emergency Department for a report of a 17yoa male who had sustained injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Family members of the boy were at the hospital and told officers that their son had went to play basketball in the driveway after they had arrived home. The boy’s mother said that she thought she had heard a noise outside and when she went to check for her son she found him in the driveway of the home unconscious and struggling to breathe. The boy is currently unable to provide a statement as he is unconscious and has been flown to Harbor View for treatment. The boy is considered to be in critical condition. The incident occurred near the 800 block of S. Belfair St and it is not a heavily trafficked area. The Kennewick Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a possible suspect(s) in this case.
