Saying Gov. Inslee is making "sweeping" changes concerning the latest lockdown that was announced Sunday, Kittitas County Commissioners are planning to file legal action vs. the state.

Kittitas County (Ellensburg) is in Phase 3, and the three commissioners say Inslee's scale back ignores the safety precautions and progress made in their county, and others who are in Phase 2, modified 2.5 or higher.

Once the Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has had a chance to gather the necessary county health data, it's likely a suit will be filed challenging the lockdown.

The Commissioners, Cory Wright, Lisa Osiadacz, and Brad Wachsmith, are unhappy the latest lockdown basically ignores all the work Kittitas has put in lowering their rates and cases. It appears Inslee is just throwing a blanket over the entire state, instead of looking at each county or area individually.

According to a statement released Monday, the 3 commissioners were "highly critical" of the Governor's actions.
