KPD Gets a Two-For-One in Stolen Car Recovery

Thursday night, a car was reported stolen to Kennewick Police, from the 400 block of North Volland. As the investigation began, the officer handling the case was also assisting the CAT (Criminal Apprehension Team) in serving a warrant in an unrelated case.

As the CAT Team was working to apprehend an unrelated suspect near 19th and Vancouver, the investigating officer located the stolen car nearby. It's been returned to the owner, and now area surveillance cameras are being searched to see if a suspect can be ID'd---whomever drove the car and parked it there.

Police didn't say if the CAT warrant suspect was related to the car theft. The investigation continues.
