Was a little surprised when I got this email from the Kennewick School District Friday;

"Technology Issues

We apologize for any technology issues you may be experiencing connecting to school applications. We exceeded the capacity of our servers this morning that are handling the traffic for staff and student laptops. We are currently bringing more servers online and anticipate resolving the issue by 12:30 p.m."

Basically what happened was the demand put on their IT system caused their servers to crash. So many students doing classes online, ZOOM Meetings, and Google Classroom.

Systems expected to be back up and running by Friday afternoon, so students can finish homework over the weekend.
