Thanks to the watchful eye of an apartment worker, a suspect is in jail after a gun related incident in West Richland.

Sunday afternoon, a worker at the Quail Springs Apartments near Kennedy and Bombing Range Road noticed a driver in a car sitting on their grounds, looking rather suspicious. The person was not known to be a renter or, according to the worker, known to the 'area' of the  apartments.

The worker asked the male driver to leave, and they did, but not before brandishing a handgun and pointing it at the employee.  The worker was able to to a vehicle description and plate number to police, who located the car several hours later at a home in the 600 block of Riverside Drive.

The man, whose name was not given, was taken into custody, and his vehicle towed for an investigative search.
