Man Cuts Victim’s Throat During Fight, Then Busted in Richland

An adult male is still in serious condition at TRIOS Southridge after having their throat slashed Saturday afternoon.

Kennewick police say a 51-year-old man is facing 1st Degree Assault charges after he got in a fight with the man at the Heatherstone Apartments at 1212 West 10th Ave. around 1:45pm.

Evan Strother allegedly was in the fight, and is accused of slashing the throat of the victim with an unknown object. The victim was rushed to TRIOS in serious condition. Strother fled the scene in a car, but was later located in Richland. With help from Richland police, he was arrested.

He's now in the Benton County jail.
