Man Found Beaten to Death After Seattle Kenny Chesney Concert
It's a show that many from Tri-Cities went to at Century Link Field
Seattle police have released still photos from surveillance cameras outside the stadium, hoping to get a lead on a man they believe is a suspect.
The victim, 31-year-old Benito Enriquez, was at the show with a friend named Joey Smith. Smith said Enriquez went to "get t-shirts" for his two daughters, and they would meet up later at their car. The victim is seen in the pictures wearing the blue shirt.
But as he headed to where they were parked, Smith said he saw a lot of police activity in that general area, and got a very bad feeling. Police found Enriquez lying on the ground without a pulse. He was found near 5th Ave and South Weller street. After being taken to Harborview Medical Center, he was pronounced dead from the head trauma.
Witnesses reported seeing two men fighting in the street near that location. Police have released still photos, and are seeking to find the man seen in the white shirt and black shorts, also a woman who appeared to be with the suspect.
Enriquez was the father of two girls, ages 8 and 6, and was described as a loving father and worked as a nurse for the disabled.
The suspect is described as a stocky person of perhaps Hispanic, Pacific Islander or Middle Eastern descent, 5'11" tall wearing a backwards "trucker" style black hat, white v-neck shirt and black shorts. The woman he was with was described as possibly pregnant looking.
Police had not said why the victim may have been walking with the suspects.
Anyone with any information has been asked to notify Seattle police immediately.
