An obviously disturbed Pasco man escalated his charges from misdemeanor disturbance to felony assault on an officer after an incident Wednesday evening.

Around 6:22pm officers were called to the 1700 block of West Hopkins for a report of a man hitting mailboxes and car windows, and yelling at passersby that they "were going to die."

The man, identified as 34-year-old William Scott Bagley,  was located near 20th and Frontage Road, exhibiting the same behavior and matching the description from witnesses on Hopkins. During his arrest he began to resist violently, at one point hitting an officer in the face. He ended up tripling his charges, from misdemeanor to felony assault, and resisting arrest along with his disorderly conduct.
