A Pasco man is facing at least 62 years in prison for attempted murder after he shot at Pasco police in 2017.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call at the Pasco home of Edwin Espejo in September 2017, but when they arrived he fired a number of shots at them. They returned fire, hitting him. He was wounded but survived.

The jury found him guilty of three counts of attempted murder, and one count of illegal weapons possession. However the jury was deadlocked on several domestic violence-related charges.

A hearing has been set for March 19 for sentencing. He could get as many as 78 years for the crimes.
