Missing Eastern Washington Teen May Be With Known Sex Offender
An amber alert has been issued for a young teen in Washington who might've been abducted by a known sex offender.
The Lewiston Idaho Police Department is looking for a young teen and a male who might be in the Pomeroy and Starbuck area.
In a posting being circulated on Facebook, Lewiston 15-year-old Lillian Ray Dixon was last seen by her parents as she left for school at LHS on Friday, and she was reportedly spotted with a male early Saturday morning.
Here are the details of the search according to a press release:
Lewiston Police says the male is believed to be 36-year-old Jonathon Wayne Bowles. Bowles is a Level II sex offender with a last known address in Pomeroy, he is listed as non-compliant for moving without notification, and has warrants for his arrest in Garfield County. Bowles previous offenses include Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 16, and Child Molestation in the Second Degree.
Bowles and Dixon could have traveled to the Walla Walla or Tri-Cities area. If they are traveling in a vehicle, its description is currently unknown, as Bowles' vehicle was reportedly found abandoned just north of Waitsburg.
Police say Bowles could be armed, so if they are spotted, you should not approach them and contact police. Bowles is 6'2" tall, 235 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Lillian Ray Dixon is 5'2" tall, around 100 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
If you see either of them, contact the local law enforcement immediately.
