Well, the NBA might be bouncing this season after all.   According to sources a tenative agreement has been reached that would allow the season to tip off on Christmas Day.

The league plans a 66 game season, with camps opening December 9th.  Few specifics were released, but David Stern, the Commissioner, said the legal and technical issues would be worked through.   There had been fears the season would be lost after a nearly two year battle to reach a new agreement between players and owners came to a head this year.
