New Owners Take Over Cedars, Restaurant Closed Until Wednesday

Tri-Cities iconic riverfront restaurant will be closed until Wednesday as ownership of the restaurant passes to the new owners Doug & Carrie Lundgren.

Dave & Darci Mitcham decided to retire after 45 years in the restaurant business and put Cedar's on the markets back in 2017. The sale finally went through and the Lundgrens take over officially on Wednesday, December 4th.

The new owners who are friends of mine plan to keep up the tradition of the menu and service much the same and plan to hold the title of 'Best Steak In Tri-Cities'.

Also over the weekend, I noticed they have an ad looking for waitstaff:

Servers Needed. Must be available weekends. Evening Hours. Apply in person 4 PM to 5 PM. No phone calls, please. Ask for Mike or Doug. Cedars Restaurant 355 Clover Island Drive, Kennewick. Must be 21 or older. Experience necessary. Servers move back and forth between the lounge and the dining room. Hourly wage plus a history of excellent tips. Long established higher-end restaurant.

I would like to say congratulations to Doug and Carrie I'll be in for that Steak and a Rum Barrel soon!
