One of the persons being sought from that wild shooting and standoff incident in Richland last Friday has been captured in Oregon.

Richland police said that on Monday, 31-year-old Joshua M. Chavez was apprehended by U.S. Marshalls in Oregon, probably with help from the Umatilla County Sheriff and he is now in the Umatilla County jail awaiting extradition to Benton County.

No information was released by Umatilla County, but Richland police say he was the man who fled the shooting scene in the 1000 block of Sanford suffering from a minor wound. Police did not specify his role, but he was arrested on charges of Assault in the First Degree, Drive By Shooting and Unlawful Possession of A Firearm.

More arrests are expected soon in this case, say police.
