Pasco Police & W.S.P. Team Up to Raise Funds for Cancer Center

The Pasco Police and Washington State Patrol have teamed up to help raise awairness and money for the local Tri-Cities Cancer Center.

The departments are not only wearing special pink gear but they are also selling pink patches on an etsy page to raise money. You can buy one by clicking this link.

All the funds raised will stay local and be donated to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center for screening services and prevention.

Facts about Cancer:

• Approximately 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetime.
• Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and the second leading cause of cancer death among women.
• Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,600 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 440 will die each year.
• Over 2.8 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today.
