Early Sunday morning Kennewick police were alerted to a pair of folks slumped over in a vehicle parked in the Panda Express parking lot near Walgreens, at the intersection of Highway 395, Vista Way and Clearwater. A citizen happened to notice them in the car, and called police. Since Panda Express obviously not open yet, it was suspicious.

Around 4:13AM officers arrived and found 40-year-old John Brace and 29-year-old Dayma Smith passed out in the vehicle. Police noticed what were believed to be narcotics around them inside. After waking them and an on-site investigation both were arrested for the drug possession.  Smith is also facing additional charges for initially giving officers a fake name, and she was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
